The Problem

A large distribution warehouse had increased its racking height and changed its stored commodities without updating its sprinkler documentation. The existing block plans showed a hazard classification and zone layout that no longer reflected reality.

The Challenge

The sprinkler system had been extended multiple times without documentation updates. The actual hazard classification needed to be assessed against current storage conditions, and the zone layout needed to be verified against installed valve positions.

Our Solution

We assessed the current storage conditions against AS 2118 hazard classification requirements, physically surveyed all sprinkler zone valves, and produced updated block plans reflecting the system as installed with correct hazard classifications.

The Outcome

Updated sprinkler block plans with correct hazard classifications. The building owner now has documentation that accurately reflects their current operations and can demonstrate compliance.
