Rebuilding Sprinkler Block Plans After Warehouse Re-Racking
A warehouse changed its racking layout and storage height without updating its sprinkler documentation. We reconstructed the system and corrected the hazard classification.

The Problem
A distribution warehouse had re-racked its storage areas and increased pallet heights, but the sprinkler block plans still showed the original layout and hazard classification. The documentation no longer reflected the installed system or the actual fire load.
The Challenge
The sprinkler system had been extended in stages and the zone layout had drifted from the original design. The current storage configuration needed to be assessed against AS 2118 hazard classification requirements, and the documentation had to be updated without shutting down operations.
Our Solution
We surveyed the warehouse in phases around live operations, verified sprinkler zone valves and hazard areas against the installed system, assessed the current storage conditions against AS 2118, and produced updated block plans with correct hazard classifications and zone boundaries.
The Outcome
Updated sprinkler block plans delivered with correct hazard classifications and a clear record of the system as installed. The warehouse now has documentation that supports both compliance and ongoing maintenance.
